Swimsuit Care

Tender Poly Care

Poly is a very durable fabric and it is this very feature which allows for low-drag fit.  As with any high performance product, your proper care will prolong the usable life of this garment.

FITTING

Poly suits should fit snugly and should not be purchased one size up for growth.  Loose fitting garments do not wear as well as those that conform to the body.  Take gentle care when putting on your suit.  Do not pull hard on the suit; be careful that your fingers do not break the suit.  It is best to put your suit on by pulling it on in stages using the edges.  Your poly suit will not face in color and will not stretch out as a Lycra suit.

WASHING

For best results, do not machine wash your suit.  Remember to rinse your suit thoroughly in clear, cold, fresh water after each wearing to remove chlorine and perspiration residue.  Hang your suit to dry,  Do not put in a pocket or roll it in a towel.  Leaving your poly suit in such a condition results in a very rapid degradation.

Rest assured you have selected a suit made from the highest quality standards on the market today.  Nevertheless, poly fabric has a limited life that is greatly affected by the individual's care and general pool conditions.  With proper care, you will enjoy thousands of yards in your suit.  If you have any question or comments, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Tender Lycra Care

Lycra is a very delicate fabric and it is this very feature which allows for the sleek, low-drag fit desired in a competition suit.  As with any high performance product, your proper care will prolong the usable life of this garment.

FITTING

Lycra suits should fit snugly and should not be purchased one size up for growth.  Loose fitting garments do not wear as well as those that conform to the body.  Take gentle care when putting on your suit.  Do not pull hard on the suit; be careful that your fingers do not break the suit.  It is best to put your suit on by pulling it on in stages using the edges.  Once your suit begins to relax, it will go on with greater ease.

WASHING

For best results, do not machine wash your suit.  Remember to rinse your suit thoroughly in clear, cold, fresh water after each wearing to remove chlorine and perspiration residue.  Hang your suit to dry,  Do not put in a pocket or roll it in a towel.  Leaving your lycra suit in such a condition results in a very rapid degradation of lycra yarn.  Shampoo and soap both contain detergents and will cause the color to fade more rapidly.

Rest assured you have selected a suit made from the highest quality standards on the market today.  Nevertheless, lycra fabric has a limited life that is greatly affected by the individual's care and general pool conditions.  With proper care, you will enjoy thousands of yards in your suit.
